Each year, we do a soundcheck on our benefits program to make sure it stays affordable and comprehensive for you and your loved ones. Based on our review, we’re excited to announce some new benefit headliners and chart-topping hits effective Jan. 1, 2026:
Amplified! Mental Health Support & Prescription Savings Program
- Talk with a therapist anytime, anywhere. Starting Jan. 1, 2026, members will have access to confidential mental health support through Teladoc. Schedule unlimited sessions with a licensed therapist or psychiatrist to discuss anxiety, depression, stress and other mental health concerns.
- Save more with our new prescription savings program. UMR members may save up to 33% on their prescriptions by filling their 90-day maintenance medications through a CVS retail or mail order pharmacy! This program makes getting your maintenance medications both easier and less expensive.
Electrified! Supplemental Health, Life & Disability Benefits
- Sun Life will be our new accident, cancer and critical illness provider. If you are currently enrolled in any or all of these plans, you must re-enroll during this Open Enrollment period to continue to enjoy coverage in 2026. As part of this change, we’re introducing a voluntary hospital indemnity plan—get help paying for unexpected hospital bills when you enroll!
- Ready to grow the band? Our critical illness coverage now includes a fertility benefit to support you on your family-planning journey!
- Sun Life will also be our new disability, life and accidental death and dismemberment (AD&D) provider. Because of this change, during this Open Enrollment period only, you have the chance to enroll in or increase your voluntary life insurance benefit—up to the Guaranteed Issue (GI) amount—without providing Evidence of Insurability (EOI or proof of good health). In addition, the GI amount for voluntary spouse life and AD&D insurance will increase to $50,000.
Supercharged! Health Savings Account (HSA)
- Starting January 1, 2026, HSA members will receive the annual company contribution of $500 (individual coverage) or $1,000 (family coverage) across 24 biweekly paychecks throughout the calendar year.
